Miranda Raine is a multi-award-winning, multi-genre singer-songwriter whose music blends authenticity, passion, and soul. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Literature and a Master’s degree in Creative Writing—with plans to further her academic journey by pursuing a PhD—Miranda’s deep passion for storytelling is rooted in both formal study and a lifelong love of writing that began with childhood poetry. She officially launched her songwriting career in 2009, developing a unique sound that weaves together smooth vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and genre-bending versatility across R&B, alternative, rock, and hip-hop. She was recently signed to Rainespire Records.
Miranda has been a lead, supporting, and guest vocalist in various local bands. She is widely known for her rich, soulful tone and her incredible ability to hit high notes, captivating audiences with every performance. While her voice is often described as smooth and melodic, Miranda also brings powerful energy to rap, creating songs infused with her soulful Latina flair.
Miranda is passionate about building a stronger, more inclusive music community. As the Seattle-area representative for the International Singer Songwriter Association (ISSA), a verified member of RAMPD (and co-chair of the PR committee), and a voting member of the Recording Academy, she advocates for local talent and uplifts fellow creatives. She also dedicates her time to mentoring up-and-coming singers, helping them find their voice and prepare for competitions and live performances.
In addition to music, Miranda is an accomplished writer and published author. Following her first memoir, Calling Them by Name, she currently has two new books in the works: a work of fiction and a piece of creative nonfiction. Whether through her academic background, her lyrics, or her prose, she creates work that speaks life into her own experiences while resonating with listeners and readers from all walks of life.
Miranda has performed live throughout Seattle, New Mexico, Colorado, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. Her performances, mentorship, and storytelling are all driven by the same mission: to inspire others, uplift voices, and show that no matter your background or circumstances, your dreams are worth chasing.
